How can I get the deep dark green emerald color on my lawn?

I read the answers you already received, and you have good ones. Personally, I would not go over 11% nitrogen. The mower height is important, and adding iron is the secret to dark green. However, as in anything, too much nitrogen or iron will stress the grass. You didn't say what type of grass you have, and that will make a huge difference. Most lawns are blended, but your location can dictate your grass type.
