What is this stone I have found?
I found a white oval stone for $1 in Toronto. It said it was a moonstone, however, when I tried to look it up, it all the images came up as something totally different. It's small, and a frosty white colour, but in certain lights it has a blue tint, and if you hold it right up to a light, it is orange. It is very neat, but what the hell is it?
Opals appear orange when you pass light thru them.
Moonstones have "adularescence" which means you can see light from above move around inside the stone when you turn the stone.
