Why would a little cave that is polluted from years of opal mining, advertise themselves as one of the top 10?
caves in the nation?

Because the walls are tarred from burning tires to drive out bats in the early 1900's. Because they said the place had tons of opal extracted. Because it is only the size of a large home. Because it sucks their.
Also, all the stalagtites have been broken years ago.
Actually, they claim to be a top 10 show cave, not just cave. The photos and reviews do look pretty nice. Why do you say they are polluted from years of opal mining? Are you sure they even mined opals there? I can't find any record of that. And how are they polluted? Opal mining is not the type of mining that would even generate a lot of pollution.
