I wonder as to why Many Natural things are cirular or oval in shapw?
For Example No Fruits or Vegetables are square or rectangular in shape. Why is it so?
A sphere contains the maximum volume withing a minimum surface area. That is also why rain drops are basically globular.
If nothing else, "nature" is efficient.
Note to "Brian." You didn't answer the question. You could rephrase the question as asking "why is the circle or oval nature's favorite shape?" Your answer is basically saying, "Because it is!" Not very helpful.
By the way, "nature" is not a conscious being, so it cant have a "favorite" anything. There is a physical reason for everything, whether natural or man-made. EVERYTHING follows the same laws of physics. The same forces are at work or are applied to the raindrop, and the bubble observation ports of submarines used to investigate the ocean's depths. It's the reason rockets are cylindrical, as well as most airplane bodies.
It's not just because it "is." It "is" for a very real, explainable reason.
