Importing Gemstones to the United States?
I've managed to inherit some family mining deposits overseas and I am looking to become a gemstone wholesaler in the states.
I'm interested into what the consumer market is for loose gemstones Emerald,Sapphire,Opal,Rubies ect... in the United States.
How difficult is it to find buyers?... preferably long term buyers?
I'm looking to sell in person. Possibly shipping out a few samples to N.Y and hustling up and down the diamond district advertising my stones to store owners who maybe interested in purchasing long term.
Sorry I cant get into specifics about the stones but lets just say I've got access to all the above in different colors,clarity,cuts and carats.
I'm pretty young and I understand this will be a difficult journey but I'm willing to learn the business.
