Will you PLEASE help me with my character name?
I know I put this in Baby Names, but you guys are so good. I am in the middle of writing a story and I really want to know if this name fits my character. First, this is my character: long, glossy copper locks, pale oval face, sharp green emerald eyes, stubborn, tall, a sorceress, and she is kinda like Arya Drottningu from the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. What name do you think will fit her? I have a name in mind, I'm just wondering what other people would think... I was thinking Vivian. I really think Vivian fits but do you think it does?
Oh, come on, that is such a stereotypical description... red hair, green eyes, sorceress... That is like every girl's first time DnD character. Do something different!
But, if you must, I think you should spell Vivian different... like Vivienne, or Vivayen. Or make up a name based on what you feel her character is... like the French word for green (vert), and the Finnish word for fire (tuli) combined into Vertuli. I used Google translator, it isn't difficult. Names were created because they meant something. Vivian means lively, which may suit your character, but I think it is an overused name.
