Custom made engagement ring?
Ok, i have found a ring design online of the engagement ring that i want, i have looked at jewellery stores but i haven't found a ring in the design i want, so i have decided to get it custom made, i have already taken the pic to a manufacturing jeweller and i got a quote for $2,350 (australian dollars) and it will take about 1 month to make, my bf and i have decided it is a good price for what we want, so my question is: is it a good price or should we look elsewhere?

the details of the ring is: 18 carat white gold, 10 diamonds and 1 iolite 6 mm princess cut
if i get something larger, it will change the design, i love the way it looks now and i want a stone that isn't so common, i love the color of iolite, the pic i want to get the stone a darker blue or purple, not so light
melle its a beautiful ring and if that is what your man is buying for you then you are indeed a lucky 'ozziegal'! lol i love white gold and the stone is fabulous! but it wouldn't hurt to just check with a second jeweler for a price. competition is healthy for them!
sweetie, my concern is this, in looking back over your questions i saw you had one in regard to wondering if you were being used, and it surely sounded as though you were. i hope that if this is the same man he has changed. his being at the beck and call of his ex was obviously very distressing for you and i would hate to think you are getting married to someone who still runs whenever she calls. for your sake i hope that relationship is over and she doesn't interfere in your life at all.
