Would this be a good gift for my friend when she has her baby?
My best friend is having her baby tomorrow, and I want to give her something special. I am sure she will be getting plenty of flowers and little stuffed animals for the baby, etc.
I am going to get something for the baby too, of course, but I was thinking about getting her a pair of blue topaz earrings -- each one will symbolize one of her boys (now that she is a mom of 2! 
)

I think that's a wonderful gift.
I always give a new mother a copy of Robert Munsch's book "Love You Forever" and also Sam McBratney and Anita Jeram's "Guess How Much I Love You?" because they are sweet, charming, adorable books that make me sniffle and little kids love having them read aloud.
