Do you think rose gold would look funny with a coloured stone?
Sorry this is NOT actually an engagement ring but this is the only catagory where stones are discussed regularly!! My grandmother left me some loose gemstones which I'd like to have set into a "dress ring". Do you think blue topaz or emeralds would look odd set into rose gold?
I think a white gold would probably look better with those two stones but if one stone were to go better with the rose gold than the other, I would think the blue topaz would look better. I wanted to see if there were any pictures of these stones with rose gold and this is what I came up with so you can also come to your own conclusion---

These are also not very common but are more common than the rose gold with emeralds. These look better than the emeralds in rose gold so if you have your heart set on it, I would go for it with the blue topaz ones but have the emeralds set in something like white gold or at least regular yellow gold
