why are there different colors for the December birth stone?
I was ordering my class ring, and all my life ive known my birthstone color to be blue topaz, but the color that they had for my birth stone was tanznite, which was so much darker than i usually see it. I had to order my ring in March's birth stone color Aquamarine, because tanzanite was very dark and unusual to me. I have seen my birth stone in 3 different colors, blue topaz, tanzanite, and blue zircon, why is that?
They've simply changed over time. most months have several birthstones.June (my month) has at elast 3 including pearls and alexandrite. Just look up the history online. The birth flowers have changed too.
